Mozart’s Requiem

The Requiem begins,"Grant them eternal rest, Lord, and let perpetual light shine on them."

It is the perpetual light that fills Mozart's last piece, with music that uses the text of the Catholic mass for the dead to celebrate the miracle of life. In times in which the whole world is hoping for light in the darkness, the Festival Choir of Madison along with Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra present Requiem by W. A. Mozart, May 21, 8:00 pm, Hamel Music Center.
